The Gromit Unleashed 3 Auction Raises £2,000,000!

The trail may be over, but Gromit’s biggest adventure yet ended on a truly pawsome high.

Last night, collectors and fans bid a staggering £2,000,000 for the chance to take home their favourite sculptures from this summer’s smash-hit trail.

With international bidders joining online and Helena Newman, Chairman of Sotheby’s Europe and Impressionist & Modern Art Worldwide, bringing her world-class expertise to the room, the atmosphere was electric. Star lots included Darth McGraw, who wowed the room, going for a huge £70,000. The glitzy Bobby Dazzler went for a stunning £65,000. Beagle 3 took off for a fantastic £38,000 and the mischievous penguin oil painting, Bird with a Diamond Earring, sold for £60,000.
