Lights. Camera. Action. Gromit Unleashed 3 is coming!

We're rolling out the red carpet for Bristol's biggest blockbuster of 2025.

Mark your calendars, Gromiteers. From 30 June 30 to 31 August 2025, we are bringing our favourite pooch and friends back to the streets in a dazzling new arts trail with a touch of movie magic.

Who's on the trail cast list?

Aardman's beloved Gromit will have starring roles, and the scheming penguin Feathers McGraw will return. We are excited to announce that Norbot will make his debut trail appearance in Gromit Unleashed 3. The new "smart gnome" character is fresh from his role in Wallace and Gromit's latest adventure, Vengeance Most Fowl, which is coming to the BBC in the UK and Netflix globally this winter.

Exclusive behind-the-scenes images of blank Gromit, Feathers McGraw, and Wallace sculptures as they prepare for their magical makeover. Here is the first look at Norbot, the prototype "smart gnome" sculpture.

Each character will transform into a spectacular character inspired by timeless fables and wonders of the big screen, giving Bristol's streets a hint of Hollywood sparkle. Think shimmering disco floors, heroic epics, and whimsical landscapes.

Here's a look at some of the processes involved in making Norbot, the new prototype sculpture for Gromit Unleashed 3.

Say hello to Norbot

Have you ever seen a garden gnome like this before? Wallace's latest invention, Norbot is a voice-activated "smart gnome." Designed to take on gardening projects or "gnome improvements", this chirpy character is efficient, polite, and super-speedy. Faithful pooch Gromit has his suspicions about the little pre-programmed garden helper. We can't wait to see how his story unfolds.

Feathers McGraw. It's him. He's back.

We've hardly been able to contain our excitement since the first trailer for Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl announced the return of the evil genius Feathers McGraw.

We first met Nick Park's feathered supervillain in Wallace & Gromit: The Wrong Trousers. Disguised as a chicken, the evil penguin set about a monumental jewel heist with the help of Wallace's invention, the Techno-Trousers, before being dramatically captured by Gromit after a dramatic train chase.

After his dastardly plot was foiled, Feathers McGraw was imprisoned in the Zoo, but now he's back, in a new feature-length film, and he's back with a vengeance!

Ta-da! Here are the first new sculpture designs for the Gromit Unleashed 3 trail.

Peek at our first star-studded sculptures

Let us give you a little look behind the Gromit Unleashed curtain at the first sculptures, almost ready for their starring roles for Gromit Unleashed 3.

Gromit

Get ready to get your groove on Bristol. Introducing our first Gromit sculpture, which mosaic artist Lizzie Tucker has expertly transformed into a glamorous, sparkly glitter ball. Inspired by great disco movies, you won't resist throwing some shapes, doing the hustle, and pulling off The Funky Chicken when this Gromit makes his way to the Gromit Unleashed dancefloor.

Feathers McGraw: King of Diamonds

Designed and painted by artist Emily Golden, King of Diamonds is a playful Feathers McGraw that could have jumped straight out of the pages of Lewis Carrol's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. For the eagle-eyed Wallace & Gromit fans. If you look closely, you'll spot key motifs throughout his playing card exterior. How many can you see?

Classic Norbot

A new prototype sculpture has been unveiled in a cracking plot twist for Gromit Unleashed 3. Introducing… Norbot, the "smart gnome". Norbot is Wallace's enigmatic new invention and will join the character line-up for the first time in 2025. You can expect lots more surprises and stories coming to the trail, and we think you'll love this cheeky new character.

Wallace

Our first Wallace sculpture sees the eccentric inventor take on a whole new character as a homage to historical epic stories featuring Roman soldiers and heroic gladiators. Created by local set and scenic artists Mawford Arts, this monumental Wallace tribute to a whole genre of films and stories this Wallace will surely be a crowd-pleaser.
